The polymer is a chemical product which is mainly used in the treatment of wastewater as well as the thickening and dehydration of municipal and industrial sewage sludge (centrifugals, belt presses, filter presses, etc.). It is particularly suitable in cases where the flocs which have formed are subjected to significant shearing. The action of the active cationic product consists of an exchange between the electrical charges of the polymer chain found in the aqueous solution and the surface charges of the solid particles in suspension. The surface charge of the particles is neutralized, which allows coagulation or even flocculation of the particles.
